Marc Chalhoub.

 

Marc Chalhoub likes to tell stories, one frame at a time. Marc started his career in advertising. For 18 years he led Leo Burnett to greatness as regional creative director. Later, he headed GREY as Chief Creative Officer for the Middle East.

Being passionate about discovery, he soon started focusing on writing and directing his own TV commercials. His sharp pen immediately translated into some of the most refreshing car advertising. His celebrated spots for GMC, Chevrolet and cadillac as well as Ford set new standards in the category.

Marc’s visual scriptwriting was quickly noticed by the Dubai Government, who invited him to write and direct for DDIA and Dubai Holding. In Qatar he left his mark with the iconic Aspire Campaign. His commercials featuring Ronaldinho and El Guerrouj are now part of collective memory.Socially aware by nature, Marc is constantly collaborating with NGO’s. For Iraq he created a series of striking anti-terror campaign. His multi award-winning work for ‘Act for the Disappeared’ brought the 17.000 still missing from the Lebanese War back in the public eye.

Lately, Marc has put a lot of emphasis on creating epic commercials for real estate projects. His self-penned ‘Center of Now’ global Emaar campaign is a monumental celebration of lifestyle. The same sense of style can be found in his recent work for Mumbai’s Piramal project.

Marc’s passion for concept writing and filmmaking has built him a strong reputation in Asia and the Middle East. The fact that he can write, produce and direct gives any advertiser in the region an indispensable competitive advantage.
